Style Icons: Audrey Hepburn

Audrey Hepburn, she is a fashion icon and one of the most famous actresses in the world. She died on January 20th, 1993. Her most recognized movie, "Breakfast at Tiffany's" set the planet on fire with her character in the movie, Holly Golightly. But who would forget the fantastically classic movies that came before it? Such as "Roman Holiday", "Sabrina", "War and Peace" and of course "Funny Face". She inspired designs by Hubert de Givenchy.

In this image Audrey Hepburn was wearing a Givenchy dress for the movie "Sabrina". This is probably one of the most iconic dresses of all time. The black detailing, on the white dress is just simply classic. Another thing about this dress is that it inspired other fashion designers.

Here, Reese Witherspoon is wearing a Jason Wu dress at the "Water for Elephants" premiere.

One of the most famous photos of Audrey Hepburn is this one. History changed because of this iconic picture from "Breakfast at Tiffany's". The dress that she wore in this photo was another design, by Givenchy. Which is (in my opinion) one of the most classic dresses of all time in the history of mankind.

If you haven't seen "Breakfast at Tiffany's", then I strongly suggest that you do. In fact I also recommend that you see "Sabrina" as well. They are truly classic films.

Audrey Hepburn's style I would describe as classic, a little preppy, and glamorous. She has truly changed the world of fashion with her "elfin" like features. And of course the most unforgettable thing about her are her movies.

She is also Blair Waldorf's favorite actress/style icon in the show "Gossip Girl". In some episodes when they do scenes in her room you might see a photo like this (look above), hanging on her wall.

Lastly, thank you all for reading and I hope that you like this post.
