Spring to Summer: Beach Essentials feat. Australian Gold

Summer is just around the corner! So get prepared with this list of everything you'll need for the hot, hot season of Summer.

1. I feel like this is pretty self explanatory but, I don't think anyone wants to start off the Summer season looking like a spring chicken. So maybe a couple of days before you go to the beach, just do a few hours of at-home tanning. You could try doing this in your yard, your balcony, or even your at friends house. Just keep in mind that a little "before the beach" color isn't going to kill you. Plus your skin will look healthier than before.

2. The sun hat. Either people like them, or they hate them. I think that sun hats are great! They are perfect for the beach. These hats will provide shade and keep the sun out of your eyes. And in my opinion, they just look cute. The first hat (left) is from Forever21 price: $10.80. And last but certainly not least, we have the second hat (right). This hat is from Juicy Couture price: $78.00.

3. One of the most Important things to own for Summer. Sun screen. I don't think that anyone wants be burned this Summer (or any summer?), so be sure to buy something with SPF 30 or higher. I personally like SPF 50, just because I now that my skin won't burn if I use something with amount of SPF. Also, you might want to consider getting something water resistant.

4. Okay this trend has been going on for a long time. Neon colors for Summer! I love this trend for Summer, it makes the season even more fun. But some people don't like to be too over the top on this trend. I for one, just like to wear a bright, neon colored nail polish. This is one of my favorite colors from Essie, it just came out this year and I love it. This color is called "Action". It's the perfect Orange color for Summer.

5. The last item that I would like to talk about, is after sun care. It's super important to do this even if you didn't get burned by the sun. I love aloe, for me it works the best. Of course, there are other things you can put on your skin besides aloe. Like lotion (cocoa butter works great), ice and cold showers.

I hope that all of you found this to be helpful. I enjoy writing for you all.

Style Icons: Audrey Hepburn

Audrey Hepburn, she is a fashion icon and one of the most famous actresses in the world. She died on January 20th, 1993. Her most recognized movie, "Breakfast at Tiffany's" set the planet on fire with her character in the movie, Holly Golightly. But who would forget the fantastically classic movies that came before it? Such as "Roman Holiday", "Sabrina", "War and Peace" and of course "Funny Face". She inspired designs by Hubert de Givenchy.

In this image Audrey Hepburn was wearing a Givenchy dress for the movie "Sabrina". This is probably one of the most iconic dresses of all time. The black detailing, on the white dress is just simply classic. Another thing about this dress is that it inspired other fashion designers.

Here, Reese Witherspoon is wearing a Jason Wu dress at the "Water for Elephants" premiere.

One of the most famous photos of Audrey Hepburn is this one. History changed because of this iconic picture from "Breakfast at Tiffany's". The dress that she wore in this photo was another design, by Givenchy. Which is (in my opinion) one of the most classic dresses of all time in the history of mankind.

If you haven't seen "Breakfast at Tiffany's", then I strongly suggest that you do. In fact I also recommend that you see "Sabrina" as well. They are truly classic films.

Audrey Hepburn's style I would describe as classic, a little preppy, and glamorous. She has truly changed the world of fashion with her "elfin" like features. And of course the most unforgettable thing about her are her movies.

She is also Blair Waldorf's favorite actress/style icon in the show "Gossip Girl". In some episodes when they do scenes in her room you might see a photo like this (look above), hanging on her wall.

Lastly, thank you all for reading and I hope that you like this post.
Sincerely, ~BlairBurry
